Index Fluctuation API: NYA Change as JSON
An index fluctuation API returns how an index moved between two dates: start_rate, end_rate, change, and change_pct. On Indices-API that is GET https://indices-api.com/api/fluctuation with query access_key. Official docs request uses symbols=NYA (NYSE Composite).
PRO is $49.99/mo (7-day trial, 5 indices per request, 10-minute updates). Most history in the docs starts October 2024. This is not a GSPC latest print and not IXIC (no IXIC row in the latest fixture). Docs: indices-api.com/documentation.
Request: NYA over a range
curl "https://indices-api.com/api/fluctuation?access_key=YOUR_API_KEY&start_date=2022-05-01&end_date=2022-05-05&symbols=NYA"
Response: official docs sample

The official JSON key is USD with base=EUR — not a NYA object. The curl dates and the JSON dates differ in the docs. Copy the curl with your key for a matching window.
PHP: official cURL pattern
$ch = curl_init(
'https://indices-api.com/api/fluctuation'
. '?access_key=YOUR_API_KEY'
. '&start_date=2022-05-01&end_date=2022-05-05&symbols=NYA'
);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
$json = json_decode(curl_exec($ch), true);
curl_close($ch);
$pct = $json['rates']['USD']['change_pct'] ?? null;
Same query string as the docs. Read the key that your live envelope actually returns.
